Description
Cactus is looking for a New Business Strategist to expand our client base, sharpen our proposals, and position us for high-impact collaborations. This role focuses on business development: researching prospects, building relationships, shaping proposals, and supporting leadership in closing high-value engagements.
Responsibilities
- Identify and research prospective clients, partnerships, and RFP opportunities.
- Support the development of proposals, pitch decks, and scopes of work — ensuring deliverables are strategic, compelling, and customized.
- Track and manage business development pipeline, keeping leadership aligned on priorities and status.
- Partner with leadership on outreach strategies, including LinkedIn campaigns, conference engagements, and targeted prospecting.
- Conduct industry and market research to inform business development priorities.
- Coordinate with marketing on case studies, thought leadership, and other materials that support sales conversations.
- Participate in client calls, presentations, and follow-ups to support relationship-building.

Qualifications
- 2–5 years of experience in business development, consulting, or strategic planning.
- Strong writing and presentation skills, with a knack for synthesizing information into clear and persuasive proposals.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive about moving opportunities forward.
- Comfortable engaging with senior leaders and executives in healthcare, design, or technology sectors.
- Familiarity with CRM tools, sales processes, and RFPs is a plus.
Compensation & Equal Opportunity
$100,000 to $120,000
We offer a competitive compensation package based on experience and qualifications. The salary range for this position is $100,000 to $120,000 annually, with additional benefits, bonuses, and incentives. The final salary offer will be determined based on the candidate’s experiences, skills, and fit for the role.
