Bringing Lifestyle-Led Longevity into Luxury Living
Royal Palms Companies set out to develop a first-of-its-kind residential destination in Miami: a luxury real estate project with a luxury hotel and residences, and an integrated lifestyle health and longevity center. The vision wasn’t just to build a high-end property, but to create a destination for Miami where premium hospitality, healthy living, and wellness converge.
Cactus was brought on as the lead strategy and experience partner to help define and activate this vision. Our team worked across hospitality, wellness, and residential programming to shape a compelling value proposition for a new kind of resident and guest—those seeking long-term vitality, community, and meaning, not just amenities.
We saw the need for a digital offering that would encapsulate the brand's essence without letting technology overshadow the Ranch's core experience.
Our work began with research: category scans, psychographic profiles, and market positioning analysis. From there, we developed an integrated experience and brand strategy that translated evidence-based wellness principles into an emotionally resonant lifestyle offering.


Key to our approach was the creation of “destination signatures,” immersive anchor experiences that bring the brand’s wellbeing philosophy to life. These included a dining theater that fosters communal meals and education around whole-food nutrition, a destination spa designed for daily restoration and stress recovery, and movement and gathering spaces built to support physical activity and intergenerational connection.
We also designed the end-to-end user experience, mapping how residents and guests would navigate the property across physical, digital, and social layers. Our goal was to create seamless, human-centered experiences that connect every touchpoint—from residential units to hotel suites to wellness activations—into a cohesive and aspirational lifestyle.

The app enhances the On-Ranch experience by giving visitors the ability to prepare for their visit, view and adapt their pathway schedule at any time, track important moments in their wellness journey, and get personalized guidance from Canyon Ranch experts.

Finally, we worked alongside architectural and real estate development and hotel operating teams to integrate these concepts into the design of the Miami flagship, ensuring the vision was grounded in market viability and operational feasibility.
This project represents a new model for hospitality-integrated living, where longevity, wellbeing, and luxury are not competing priorities but part of the same deeply lived experience.
